SciFi and Fantasy Art: Idol

I used a trial version of trueSpace5 for this one. TrueSpace3 doesn't have this kind of fog effect. Update 02/24/02: Now that I have the full version of TS5, you'll be seeing more like this.

Creepy...very well done, you're a really good artist! Thank you very much. I really should try to get used to the fog controls in trueSpace so I can do more like this.

WOOWWW! It's wonderful! So realisitic and so sad. poor abandoned idol...2)Sad indeed. An ancient and forgotten god, bemoaning the loss of his people in a distant past.

I dont know what to say....*damnit thats what they all say* but anyways, this is so gods damnit awesome. The fog effect is sooooo scary. I'm just waiting for Le Monstre Du Lac (the monster of the lake) to jump out and rip us to itzi-bitzi bitz. ARGHHH HERE IT COMES ARGHHHHHHH *runs away into the dark and swampy elfwood...*  I got lucky on this one. That fog turned out perfectly.

It's like the face on Mars, before Mars became a wasteland. It has this sort of Incan/Myan type of feel to the picture. As a matter of fact, I was thinking about the south american jungles when I put together this scene.

haunting. Don't look behind you. Just run.

I like the colours, it gives a very isolated atmosphere. But I think it looks more peaceful than forgotten. I was trying for a feeling of age and decay. An ancient lost artifact.

Whooooo it looks to me like someone has just opened a secret door in an egyptian tomb and the face or mask is all that is left. The light is great the way it comes from the right like someone has actally opened a door and its looks dusty like it has been unsettled. Great!!!!!!!!! Congratulations !!! You're the first person to see it the way I was thinking of. Thank you for the glowing report.

Spectacular! It's ethereal. Love it. I can't take too much credit for this one. The objects are prefab but arranged by me. The trickiest part was getting the fog right.

freaky. Reminds me of that Xfiles episode, where there were those things livin in the forest that had a kinda chameleon trick about them. I was younger, cant remember the deatails, but this scene where one of the creatures is lying on the ground, appearing to be a heap of leaves, and it opens its eyes to reveal an evil yellow. I thought these guys were running around my forest for weeks. Now that Im older, I realise it was based in america, therefor, they aint gonna be in scottish forests. duh.
Brings back memories. Excellent moment youve captured.
peace I think I remember that episode. It was in the 1st season. I think the best episodes were in the 1st season.

I really love the misty mood to this ,if you seen this in real life it would make you walk very slowly because of the whole reverance of it ....
(but i'm not sure which way i'd walk) lol
